Our latest Type 5 Dual Port BOV, explicitly made for the 2015 WRX, features the innovative new Smart Port drive-by-wire friendly staging technology that gives you the response of a plumb-back valve, with the high-performance benefits of a vent-to-atmosphere valve. The Smart Port system involves a new piston manufacturing process utilizing specialized alloys and coatings and a revolutionary new vent-to-atmosphere trumpet design. These unique designs allow for a swift response while providing enhanced sealing. The result is quicker spool-up and better performance on modern drive-by-wire vehicles.
Smart Piston Design
The new Smart Port piston is made from aerospace alloy, reducing the piston’s weight and improving the valve’s response. A new military-spec coating technique is applied to the surface of the piston. This low-friction material also helps make the BOV more responsive than any previous Type 5 BOV. It has excellent wear-resistant characteristics – extending the working life of the BOV.

Turbosmart’s new Smart Port trumpet allows a softer spring in the body of the BOV to aid in valve response to the plumb back port while retaining the ability to vent to the atmosphere.

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location and the items in your cart.
Delivery timeframes:
Auckland: overnight
Rest of North Island: 1–2 days
South Island: 1–3 days
Bulky and freight items
Some items, including race seats, large exhaust systems, and oversized freight, are shipped via our freight carrier. Rates for these are shown at checkout. For rural South Island delivery on large items, we'll contact you with a quote before dispatch.
International orders
We don't offer automatic international shipping rates. Request a quote, and we'll get back to you with rates and delivery times before you purchase.

Open 7 Days
We accept returns within 14 days of the invoice date if the product isn't suitable for your application. The product and packaging must be returned in its original saleable condition, undamaged.
Exchanges
If you'd like to exchange for a different product, we're happy to help. Contact us at sales@scarles.co.nz before sending anything back.
Refunds
If an exchange isn't required, a refund may be issued subject to a 15% restocking fee. Original and return freight costs are at the customer's expense and cannot be refunded.
Any product returned damaged or not in saleable condition will be assessed and an appropriate damage fee may apply.
This policy excludes drop-shipped, clearance, sale, and special order products.
Faulty Products
Any fault must be reported to us immediately at sales@scarles.co.nz before any action is taken. We'll assess the best course of action, which may include returning the product for inspection by us or the original manufacturer.
If the product is confirmed as a manufacturing fault, a full refund or replacement will be offered. We do not cover additional fitment costs, certification costs, extra parts, freight, or any loss of time, wages, or business.
