On drift cars with a rear mounted steering rack, like the Z, it is important to position the steering rack forward when you drastically increase your steering angle.
This will help you achieve more useable steering angle with smoother steering feel and less binding/overcentering.
This DIY weld-in kit will Move your steering rack forward 40mm.
This will allow you to delete the inner tie rod offset spacers commonly provided with angle kits.
Offset spacers are an easy solution for preventing overcentering.
But they are a weak link in the steering system and add stress to the steering rack. Relocating the entire rack is the better solution.
Our weld-in FD legal solution maintains an uninterrupted span across the subframe while only changing the rack mounting provisions.

~ Z34 extended inner tie rods, if using 370Z or G37 steering rack.
S14 extended inner tie rods if using 06+ M35 steering rack
~speed sensitive solenoid delete fitting to allow rack to move forward without solenoid interfering.
Optional Steering column shaft extender may be needed when rack is moved forward.
Our solid aluminum rack bushings are a good addition and sold separately.
