Listing is for:
1 x EMAP Canister with 1/8 NPT ports
1 x Internal stainless steel media
1 x 1/8 NPT Plug for single inlet use
1 x P-clamp bracket
EMAP Canister 1/8 NPT, Exhaust Backpressure Damper. Designed to protect exhaust manifold pressure (EMAP) sensors from extreme heat, pressure spikes, and carbon buildup.
Installed between the exhaust manifold pressure reference point and the sensor, the canister dampens pressure pulses while the stainless steel media helps filter out carbon particles before they reach the sensor.
Dual 1/8 NPT inlet ports for flexible reference setup
Protects your EMAP sensor for motorsports use
Serviceable design with replaceable stainless steel media
Flexible mounting with included P-clamp
Using our EMAP Canister results in more stable and reliable exhaust backpressure readings while significantly improving long-term sensor durability in demanding environments such as turbocharged race engines.
Flexible installation for optimal sensor placement for easy maintenance and installation with the optional hardwire kit.
For optimal installation, the EMAP Canister can be paired with the optional Nuke Performance Hardwire Kit (available here). By routing the stainless steel pressure reference line away from the exhaust manifold, the canister can be mounted in a cooler and more accessible location in the engine bay.
Stainless steel hardwire kit available for easy installation
The hardwire kit uses stainless steel tubing that should be formed with loops during installation to accommodate engine movement and reduce vibration, ensuring a reliable pressure signal while making service and maintenance easier between race events.
Fully serviceable design with replaceable stainless steel media.
Inside the canister, stainless steel media works both as a pressure damper and as a carbon filter. The media is easily replaceable, allowing the unit to be serviced without removing the entire installation from the vehicle. The top lid can be opened with a pin wrench (available here), making maintenance quick and straightforward. For optimal performance, the stainless steel media is recommended to be replaced every 5–8 race weekends, or at least once per year if the usage history is unknown.
Dual 1/8 NPT Ports for flexible pressure reference setup.
The EMAP Canister features dual 1/8 NPT inlet ports, allowing one or two exhaust pressure reference points to be connected to the same sensor. This provides flexibility when monitoring exhaust manifold pressure across different runners or turbo configurations. A 1/8 NPT plug is included for single-point installations.
Easy and accessible mounting with the included P-clamp, or the optional billet aluminum bracket.
The EMAP Canister 1/8 NPT, Exhaust Backpressure Damper is supplied with a rubber-lined P-clamp for quick and simple mounting in the engine bay using an existing bolt or bracket location. For a cleaner and more service-friendly installation, the canister can also be paired with the optional Nuke Performance Billet Aluminum Bracket. This bracket allows the canister to be removed without detaching the mount from the vehicle, while also providing a more rigid and visually refined mounting solution.
Designed and developed in Sweden, with no compromises in engineering, materials, or performance.
Co-developed with record-breaking Time Attack team Auto-Gruppen Sweden, the EMAP Canister 1/8 NPT, Exhaust Backpressure Damper is built for engines operating at the absolute limit. This is not just a protective component; it is a crucial part of a reliable engine management setup in high-performance and motorsport applications. Order your EMAP Canister today and experience the benefit of a carefully engineered solution from Nuke Performance.
