The HDJ79 Landcruiser ute, powered by the 1HD-FTE 4.2L turbo diesel, can easily be enhanced through the fitment of a high-flow Manta 3″ mandrel bent exhaust system. In fact, it’s probably the best performance modification you can do to this vehicle. The restrictive nature of the standard exhaust system, which runs as small as 2” piping, effectively chokes the motor.
By replacing the standard exhaust with a 3” mandrel bent pipe there are numerous benefits realised; including improved low-down torque and responsiveness, reduced turbo lag, reduced fuel consumption, and improved peak power.
Whether you’re towing a caravan, off-roading, or driving cross-country, the extra power from a Manta 3” exhaust is something you can’t do without.
With 3 configurations available, you can either keep the noise level close to stock, get a little bit of a note emanating from the 3” rear pipe, or go all out and get a loud, truck-like sound, with a lot of turbo whistle.

We accept returns within 14 days of the invoice date if the product isn't suitable for your application. The product and packaging must be returned in its original saleable condition, undamaged.
Exchanges
If you'd like to exchange for a different product, we're happy to help. Contact us at sales@scarles.co.nz before sending anything back.
Refunds
If an exchange isn't required, a refund may be issued subject to a 15% restocking fee. Original and return freight costs are at the customer's expense and cannot be refunded.
Any product returned damaged or not in saleable condition will be assessed and an appropriate damage fee may apply.
This policy excludes drop-shipped, clearance, sale, and special order products.
Faulty Products
Any fault must be reported to us immediately at sales@scarles.co.nz before any action is taken. We'll assess the best course of action, which may include returning the product for inspection by us or the original manufacturer.
If the product is confirmed as a manufacturing fault, a full refund or replacement will be offered. We do not cover additional fitment costs, certification costs, extra parts, freight, or any loss of time, wages, or business.
