The GKTECH budget hydraulic handbrake kit is a cheaper alternative to a complete standalone hydraulic handbrake setup.

This in-line kit runs through your existing rear calipers and includes braided brake lines for a direct-fit installation with no permanent modifications required.

GKTECH calls this the "budget" kit because it uses a generic handbrake handle, assembly and master cylinder, instead of the higher-end components used in their pro standalone kits.

The pro setup uses GKTECH's proprietary assembly, CNC-machined aluminium/carbon fibre handle, Wilwood master cylinder, and additional parts. By the time you add calipers, pads and brackets, that setup can cost $500-$700 or more.

This kit was developed after repeated requests from customers wanting an in-line hydraulic handbrake option. It is affordable, easy to install, and reversible.

Simply remove the standard brake line between the master cylinder and rear main line, then connect the supplied braided lines to the handbrake master cylinder and back again. Installation should take around 30 minutes.

The GKTECH brake lines included with this kit have passed independent testing and are marked as complying with FMVSS106 standards. This means they continue to be ADR approved and DOT compliant.
